MAY 29: Uduaghan Inaugurates 22-Man Committee‎

AHEAD of the May 29 handover date to a new administration in Delta State, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan has inaugurated a 22-man end-of-tenure cum hand over committee for smooth transition to another administration in the State.

The committee chaired by the Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuozorie Macaulay, was inaugurated Thursday at the Government House, Asaba.

Speaking during the inauguration Uduaghan said, the committee will liaise with the three committees that have been set up by the Delta State Governor-elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for a successful handover process.

According to him the committee which was at liberty to co-opt other persons as members of the committee will map out and execute end-of-tenure activities.

The committee will also, organize the May 29 inauguration ceremony and luncheon.

"This committee was put up with consultation with the Governor-elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who has nominees too as members of this committee."

"The committee is not a close affair, you have the freedom to co-opt anybody that will help you to carry out your activities and I want to strongly appeal to stakeholders, Ministries, Departments and other government agencies to cooperate with the committee to enable it succeed," he said.

Comrade Macaulay who responded on behalf of members of the committee, thanked Governor Uduaghan for giving them the opportunity to serve the state.

He assured the Governor and Deltans that members of the committee will carry out their functions diligently to the satisfaction of all.

Some of the members of the committee include: Hon. Irene Imilar, Hon. Friday Osanebi, Barr. Chike Ogeah, Dr Chris Oghenechovwen, Mr Ken Okpara, Mr Tony Obuh, Mr Douglas Okolotu, Mr Mike Okeme, among others.
