Warri Southwest Local Government

Ogbe-Ijoh is currently the headquarters of Warri Southwest LGA and was the cause of recent communal clashes and trouble that was solved by the new government by the relocation of the headquarters from Ogidigben. Some of its communities include Deghele, Gbogbodu, Bateren, Kokoyo I and II, Uba-Mango, Aja-Omo, Ijala, Kantu, Madangho, Aruton and others. The area is 100% riverine andis inhabited mainly by the Itsekiri and Izon ethnic groups. It is an oil and gas producing area and the main occupation of the people are fishing and trading
