Charles Amajuoritse Ajuyah SAN ---- Hon. Commissioner for Justice
Barr. Charles Ajuyah is taking as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice at a time when Governor Uduaghan is embroiled in two crucial election matters. He has already been drafted in as the lead Counsel representing the Delta PDP, who is the second respondent in the January 6, 2011 re-run election tribunal hearing and there is also the April 26, 2011 election tribunal, which he will now take full supervision of as the Attorney General of the state. His credentials for the job are quite commendable. He is a Senior Partner with the Thompson Okpoko Law Firm and heads the Maritime Team based in Warri office of the firm. He holds a bachelor of law degree from University of Benin, Edo State in 1987, enrolled as Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1988 and also holds a Bachelor of Science in business Administration from University of Lagos in 1983. He became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in November 2008. He may be in for a very tough first year as the Attorney General of the state, if the petitions at the elections petitions are treated with the accelerated hearings which the Tribunals have promised.
