In 1997 joined politics in the defunct United Nigeria congress party as the state assistant sec. in1997-1998 and in 1999 contested under A.D. In 2001 contested in the House of Assembly Warri-North when the sit was vacant to replace late Rt Hon.Francis Megbele in 2001-2003. And in 2003-2007 was re-elected as member of the House Assembly. In 2007 was the aspirant to the House of Rep.under PDP. And in 2011 appointed as the Honourable Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Before the appointment was the Sec. PDP campaign council Warri North LGA.
